As a seasoned fly fisherman in constant pursuit of the quint essential trophy brown trout, nothing fires up the juices more than your first glimpse of the river, and to your delight, there are so many bugs dancing in the sunlight that it appears to be snowing.
I'm sure many of you will agree, such a vision inspires the thought that "Today might be the day"; The day where you may be fortunate enough, and good enough, to spot Walter holding tight to the bank sipping spinners while the smaller fish are aggressively pounding the surface taking insects as they emerge.
This is what brings the seasoned veteran back to the river each night, even if he or she never wet a line the night before. After all, its as much about the hunt as it is the catch, with so much more in between.
